Mudroom Sneak Peek #2 and Number Tag Decisions

A few months back I shared with you my initial ideas about creating a "mudroom"
in the entranceway to our family room. Originally we used this wooden 3-section
coat locker.

It served it's purpose for many years for the kids' coats, back packs, winter
gear, etc. But with the arrival of a new couch it was time to make some
changes. You know the drill: one new thing leads to another and so on.

So, out with the lockers and in with a different storage unit that the whole family
can use. It's not new to us, but it's new in this room. It's previous life was as a
wall unit in the kids' playroom in the basement. As much as I loved it down there,
it really wasn't seeing much use so it seemed the perfect piece for relocation.

I also looked all over for baskets or wire bins to put in the cubbies of this storage
unit, but I just haven't found anything I like as much as some baskets and burlap
buckets I already have. On that note, I'm now trying to decide which of the two
types of number tags to use on the baskets. One type of tag is a cardboard
chalkboard tag that I stenciled the numbers on, and the other tags are
preprinted paper tags from Ikea.

I'm sharing two examples of each.

You decide.

   and

or

The chalkboard tags were 4 for $1.00 at Target, and the Ikea paper tags (that I
used as Christmas ornaments) were very inexpensive as well. I really do like
them both, but I think I've decided on my favorite after working on this post.
That, however, shall remain a secret, as will the full details of the transformation
until I do the final reveal.

Which ones would YOU choose?

Accessories are also coming together.

I still have to work on the opposite wall where Mr. CBD has just hung a refurbished
old mirror-turned-coat-rack underneath which we placed my DIY painted storage bench.

The pieces taken together as a whole really make a mod vintage mix that I'm coming
to appreciate and enjoy. But details are still being worked out, so stay tuned.

If I had to make a decision right now it would be the preprinted hanging ones. Been working on taxes, so brain is too rattled right now to make decisions. :)
Enjoy the weekend.

I love the black paper reinforcers on the white tags so they get my vote.
